Curriculum Vitae

Ljuben Donkov Atanasov is born on 25th May 1941 in the village of General Nikolaevo, Plovdiv. He is a doctor, specialist in general and children’s surgery.

Retired but working – surgeon member of the Labor expert doctors’ commission MBAL AD city of Dimitrovgrad. He is an author and co-author of 162 scientific reports working with teams of doctors at the surgery department in Haskovo and clinics for surgery and children’s surgery in Plovdiv and Sofia. Since 1969 and at present he is surgery lecturer in the medical institution now the Medical College at the Thracian University for nurses, doctor’s assistants and obstetricians in Haskovo. He was nominated for “Doctor of the year for 2005” Bulgaria.

He is Rotarian since 1996. He is charter secretary for RC Haskovo. During 1997-1998 he acts as the president of the club. Since 2002 until 2005 is a coordinator for ADG, D 2480 for the Bulgarian region. During 2005-06 is chairman of the Leadership committee Rotary in Bulgaria.

He is awarded “Paul Harris Fellow” with 4 sapphires. He carries charters and distinctions from district conferences since 1998.

His wife Zlatka is a nurse. They have two daughters: Antoaneta – biologist, and Natalia – philologist.
